Be Like Water
A Zen Koan.
A young martial arts student was struggling to learn the techniques.
So his teacher took him down to the river.
“Look at the river” — said the teacher — “there are many stones in its path. The river does not slam into them in frustration, but flows over and around them. With percerverence, the river moves stone many miles.”
The student learned to flow like water and went on to become a great master.
