just finished re-reading this one as it is really on target for me ~ "Having no destination, i am never lost" (Ikkyu 1394 - 1482) i have lived my life 'Synchronistically' since my first 'Awakening' in 69 . . .

To me there is a commonality among all of these ideas -- which is an awareness that the past and future do not exist. I think much of our suffering comes from stories about how the past ought to have been different than it was, or in worrying about the future -- which never actually arrives, does it.?

if you think about how life was in the past, you're pursuing the past. if you think how your life will be in the future, your feelings, your mental factors and so on, you're pursuing the future. rest in the present moment
