Haruki was a very clever boy.
His father had a precious teacup, a rare antique.
One day while playing, Haruki bumped into a table, causing the precious cup to fall to the floor — smashing into several pieces.
Hearing the footsteps of his father, he held the pieces of the cup behind him.
When his father appeared, Haruki asked — “Why do people have to die?”
“This is natural” — his father explained — “everything has to die and has just so long to live.”
Haruki showed his father the shattered cup — “well it was time for your cup to die.”
